My emphasis is on Appellate, Family & Domestic Relations
The vast majority of cases have been in the Family Law Courts and family law appeals. I was the attorney for the prevailing party in Goold v. Superior Court (2006) 145 Cal. App 4th 1, which was named as “Case of the Month” by CFLR, the Web site for family law professionals. I have also had substantial civil and personal injury experience including handlng the trials and appeals for the prevailing party in Timoteo Velasquez v. United States (1993) 988 F.2d 126 and also (1995) 62 F.3d 1427, a medical malpractice case.
After graduation from law school, I was a risk manager for Rohr Industries and taught Insurance at San Diego State University at the undergraduate and graduate level. I began in private practice in 1980 and continued teaching Insurance in the evenings at San Diego State University until the advance courses in Insurance that I taught were eliminated for budgetary reasons.
I am currently a member of Shadow Mountain Community Church and a Trustee for Equippers Inc., a 501c3 charity.
My greatest pride is my wife and five children. My wife is the owner of a Victorian tea shop in Alpine called the Cobblestone Cottage Tea Shoppe. My children have their own personal, professional and educational accomplishments but make their father proud through their own strength of character.
