“No Time to Die … of conflicts of interest”
November 12 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Conflicts of interest present significant risks for lawyers, from getting kicked off cases to being sued for malpractice. California’s Rules of Professional Conduct contain substantive changes regarding conflicts of interest and identifying and avoiding them. It’s a minefield out there, and too many lawyers are walking through it blindfolded.
Deborah Wolfe, an ECSDBA member who also serves on the SDCBA Legal Ethics Committee, has ripped the blindfold off several attorneys, sometimes painfully. She’s seen the carnage, regularly advising clients and consulting on matters involving professional conflicts of interest.
In this civil action-packed Zoom presentation, Ms. Wolfe will walk attendees through the conflicts minefield and provide helpful tips on making it through with law practices intact. This MCLE program will help attendees avoid the “spectre” of malpractice.
The East County San Diego Bar Association certifies that this activity has been approved by the State Bar of California for 1.0 hour ethics MCLE credit. Zoom registration and log-in links have all been emailed to active members. Interesting in joining? Please contact event coordinator listed in this event post.
