“WELLNESS STRATEGIES IN THE LEGAL COMMUNITY”

The Estate Planning Section will be hosting a Zoom MCLE meeting on Monday, May 18th from noon to 1 p.m. that satisfies the Competency MCLE requirement. To access the meeting, you will need to use the link below to register in advance for the meeting and use a smart phone or device as the presentation by Lita Abella of the California Bar Lawyer Assistance Program is interactive.
You will need to enter the Zoom waiting room no later than 11:55 a.m. on May 18th to access the materials and instructions. Attendance will be limited to the first 100 registrants. (Registration log-in has been emailed to all active FBA members.)
Description of areas to be covered:
- Discuss how prevalent substance use and mental health issues are among law students and attorneys.
- Describe the signs and symptoms of substance use, addiction, depression, anxiety, and stress.
- Discuss how substance use, addiction, depression, anxiety, and stress can impair an attorney’s ability to perform legal services competently.
- Provide information on the wellness strategies, the Lawyer Assistance Program and other resources.
The Foothills Bar Association certifies that this activity has been approved by the State Bar of California for 1.0 hour Competency MCLE credit.
