Nancy Kaupp Ewin has practiced law exclusively in the areas of estate planning, trusts, wills, powers of attorney, elder law issues, conservatorship, probate, trust administration, elder law and Medi-Cal planning since 1982. She maintains a private practice in La Mesa (San Diego County), California. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed working with people to plan their estates and finding solutions to estate administration challenges.
Ms. Ewin has been certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law. She has authored and co-authored numerous articles and book chapters regarding estate planning and administration including the CEB text on Special Needs
Ms. Ewin supports the California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform (CANHR) and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, WealthCounsel (a national consortium of estate planning attorneys and
advisors), and several bar associations including the Foothills Bar Association (President, 2010). Ms. Ewin also serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Southern Caregiver Resource Center – a center for counseling and respite resources to adults who provide care to elderly parents, other family members or friends.
For 15 years Ms. Ewin taught Probate and Estate Planning at Cuyamaca College in their ABA accredited Paralegal Program. She is a frequent lecturer to private and professional groups.
