Carolyn R Brock is a sole practitioner in La Mesa, California. Carolyn was certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization as a Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law (2004). Carolyn has been practicing law for 18 years, working predominantly in the areas of Estate Planning, Trusts, Wills, Probate, Trust Administration and Corporate/Business Law and Qualified Domestic Relations Orders.

Carolyn graduated from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California in December of 1994. Carolyn was on the National Deans List from 1991 – 1993, and a member of the San Diego Justice Journal law review writing staff from 1992 – 1993 during which time she authored, “Nonfiduciary Liability Under ERISA”, San Diego Justice Journal Vol. 1, No. 1, Summer 1993. Carolyn has also co-authored a chapter in the CEB Continuing Education of the Bar publication “Business Succession Planning Strategies for California Estate Planners and Business Attorneys,” on Integrating Succession Plan with Estate Plan, which was published in 2010. Carolyn also teaches an Estate Planning and Administration course for Paralegals through UCSD Extension.

Carolyn is admitted to practice law before the courts of the state of California, the U.S. District Court Southern District, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Carolyn has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Foothills Bar Association since 2006 on which she served as President in 2012 and as current Co-Chair of the Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Section of the Foothills Bar Association. Carolyn was also appointed by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Diego to the San Diego County Law Library Board of Trustees on February 10, 2009 on which she is the current Vice-President.
