Thursday, October 12th, from 12:00-1:10 p.m., the Criminal Law section of the Foothills Bar Association will host the MCLE event, “Debunking Myths: Pointers on getting along with the D.A.’s Office.”  Deputy District Attorney and Chief of the East County Branch, Michele Linley, will be the speaker.  The event will take place in Department 10 of the East County Courthouse.  Bring your lunch!  The event is free to FBA Members.

“How to Impress Your Judge”

Want to know what Judges Eddie Sturgeon an Kenneth Medel expect in their departments? Would you like to avoid the all too common problems that these judges see in the pleadings they review and in the trials and oral arguments they hear?

The Civil Litigation Section of the Foothills Bar Association will present the MCLE program “How to Impress Your Judge”, on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, from 12:00 to 1:15 p.m. at BJ’s Restaurant in Grossmont Center in La Mesa.

Judge Eddie Sturgeon and Judge Kenneth Medel will present an informative and interactive program on their respective departments, what they expect, common problems they see, and, most importantly, how to avoid them.

The seminar is free to members of the Foothills Bar Association and only $10.00 for nonmembers. You may order lunch from BJ’s menu, but do not have to. Walk-in registrants will be accommodated as space allows.
